Banchan Terroir is making it's debut!

This Saturday, April 10 12-5pm at the Greenpoint Food Market 129 Russel Street, Brooklyn.

Banchan Terroir is the story of a french organic farmer and the daughter of Korea House restaurateurs in San Francisco who share a passion for healthy Korean cuisine and its heritage of preserving food by fermentation. Banchan are the side dishes that accompany every Korean meal, shared by everyone. Terroir embodies the flavor unique to the locality where the food is grown.

Banchan Terroir is dedicated to cultivating the slow food tradition of handcrafted, high quality food, produced together with friends and family, and shared by everyone.

We are featuring our SPRING KIMJANG KIMCHI, organic nappa cabbage kimchi that has been fermenting since December 2009.

It's not very spicy and it has a clean ginger finish!

"We do research-based strategic branding work for clients along side process-driven, self-directed inquires we call 'play'. The 'play' informs the 'work', and the 'work' gives the 'play' rigor. The two are not mutually exclusive."

Check out Jullia's latest announcement on President Street Forum, "Alternative Economies: creating a local currency system"

The idea behind alternative economies is that each person has "value" that is "exchangeable" on the basis of time spent or a given task. It gives everyone a place and opportunity to participate in a local economy.

Read Jullia's curatorial statement for her upcoming web-based art exhibit for the
Eyebeam Add-Art show:

Dreaming
the world awake:
A collide-oscope
distorted over many retellings.
Interfaced situations,
reflecting patterns,
creating the medium to
define your role,
a place for everything and
everything in its place,
softening the limits,
of explicit rigidity,
closing the gap between
thought and action.
